Riding in a Postcard

Just wanted to say it is so beautiful out here! HOT, but beautiful! 'It's like we're riding through a postcard,' as Candace puts it! Last night we camped on top of the Ochoco Pass, where we met the nicest couple from New Jersey. We were $3 short for the fee at the camp site and they were there to save us! God continues to put people in our path that are just so helpful! Oh, and they also gave us coffee and breakfast the next day! Today we rode through Mitchell, which by the way is really a one horse town! I always thought that was just a saying, but they really do exist! It looked like a town right out of a western movie. We are now in Dayville! We went about 56 miles today so we're going to stop here. Oh, I forgot to mention that 7 of our miles today were all up hill! Like straight up hill! Like no shade because it's a freaking desert! Like 101 degrees today, no shade, 7 miles, up hill! You get the point! We thought today would never end!

Lot of love to all back home! Thank you for commenting...it really lifts us up to hear from people back home!

You two are living a dream and I feel like I'm following right along with your cool stories. Yes, God is sending angels to be with you everywhere and for everything! Pretty cool...
We all miss you so much! It seems like you've already been gone such a long time!
Michael Phelps just got his 7th gold by 1 tenth of a second! So he has one more to go to be the top gold medal winner ever at the Olympics.
You guys are going for the gold in your own Olympics and it's alot more fun to hear about!

Loved the analogy of riding through a postcard! It's so true. It must be something to see the landscape change so much. I checked out the map ...you guys have really covered some territory. I can't even fathom pedaling up a mountain so high in that heat. Keep the stories coming. We love traveling along with you. Be safe! Be careful and take lots of breaks.
LOVE you!

PS. LOVE those ANGELS!

I hope your taking lots of pictures so you can make your own postcards...or Christmas card! You guys are going to be in AMAZING shape after all this pedaling up mountain nonsense. Well, gotta go have a piece of key lime pie. All this talk about exercise made me hungry :)

Love you guys!
