Coo-coo the Toothless Weirdo

We made it to Rawlins, WY! We're now a day away from Colorado and we can't wait for more mountains! Haha, just kidding! Seriously though, we pumped to almost be through with another state! Now for the stories...

From Dubois we made our way to Lander! The day started off by heading into an Indian reservation! We both had never been in one before so we thought it was really neat, but that quickly ended! It got soo boring! The scenery doesn't change EVER! Not to be disrespectful, but we were just ready to get out of there! 75 miles later, we finally made it out and into Lander, WY! This was a cool town! We spent the night in the city park where we met up with some westbound riders! We all shared our experiences for a bit and then it was time for bed. We were soo tired! The next morning we went to check the local bike shop and picked up some fenders for Miss America! We thought we were in for some rain, and the fenders keep water from flying off the tires and soaking the riders and their gear! We didn't get rain, but I know we will again and we wish we'd had them in the past! So we headed out a little late after leaving the bike shop! It was a little after 2:00pm and we had 60 miles to Jeffrey City! We made it just as the sun was going down :)

This place was CREAPY! It's also where we met 'coo-coo the toothless weirdo!' We never got her real name because we never got to open our mouths! She talked us to death, bit we felt bad and listened as long as possible! At one point she was telling us how someone delivered the wrong refridgerator to her. She explained to us her discontent and went on to say...and I quote...'I just took out a grenade, pulled the pin, and told the guy he had 5 seconds to fix the problem!' Yeah, I'm sure you're thinking what we were thinking! Let's get the hell out of here! So we did! After our night there, it motivated us to pedal the 68 miles to Rawlins...the end of another state! Well, almost.

Hey!
Your wonderful hotel stay is over, but you guys sounded so great yesterday! You needed the comfortable rest and a change of pace.
I'm sure 'Coo-coo' doesn't have internet access, or you guys might be dodging hand grenades!
Glad your tires are in great shape, can't wait til you are in Colorado...it would be so cool if you could stay a night with Marc Gurnow's mom! Who knows, you might be going right past her place. She says that she lives out in the 'boonies'.
Well, glad Candace has double warmth now... I am the exact same way when it comes to 'cold'....anything below 65 degrees!
Have a great trip today....hey, guess what, our TV guy just showed up.... yay!
Love ya bunches....

You guys are awesome. I LOVE reading these posts. I hadn't looked for a few days, so getting to read the last three made my morning. Keep up the good work, and we will be praying for you.

Hey Mike,

Glad to hear all is going well. (Except for coo-coo the toothless wonder). I am very sorry we didn't get a package out to you yet. We have been out of town and were unable to put it together. Can you give me another destination that you will be at in around a week or so? You are both in our prayers.
